Environmentally-friendly packaging at Nedupack

The environment is becoming an increasingly important issue at every level of society. By developing environmentally-friendly packaging, Nedupack tries to take account of our environmental footprint. With our environmentally-friendly packaging, we focus on four different sectors: the food sector, the consumer market, the industrial sector and the pharmaceutical sector. We try to take as much work off our customers’ hands as possible here. The fact that we offer everything under one roof means that you need no longer have any worries about the development of your environmentally-friendly packaging.

Environmentally-friendly packaging: our materials

We use various materials for the development of our environmentally-friendly packaging. Our partner Reflex packaging develops protective material made of 100% recycled ocean plastic. This material is ideally suited for thermoforming. This enables us to develop ‘green’ packaging.

In addition to packaging made of ocean plastic, we are also active in developments concerning elephant grass. Elephant grass is a crop that traps four times as much CO2 as a wood with trees. It is therefore ideal for making packaging. This crop also grows world-wide, reducing tree-felling, mining and plastic pollution. In the near future, we will be using this crop frequently for the development of packaging.
